The 2026 CP+ Photo Show in Japan Will Be the Biggest Ever

The CP+ Camera and Photo Imaging Show is returning to the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center just outside of Tokyo from February 26 through March 1, 2026. In recent years, it has become as important as the now-defunct Photokina once was, and the 2026 show is cementing that: it will be the largest CP+ ever.

We are proud to announce the results of the fifth-annual PetaPixel Awards where we are able to honor the best new photography products released in the last year. We were really impressed with how big of a year 2024 was but, somehow, 2025 managed to be an even more impressive showing.

You Can Now Text Your Photos to Aura Digital Picture Frames

Aura Frames, a leading brand in connected photo frames, has launched Text to Frame, a new feature that lets users and invited contacts send photos directly to a frame through standard text messaging. The feature removes the need for an app download and positions Aura as the only major digital frame brand to offer this level of accessibility to date.

RED’s New Cinematic Imaging Recipes for Nikon Cameras Look Awesome

As promised, Nikon and RED have launched their new Imaging Recipes for compatible Nikon Z Series cameras, including the Z6 III, Z5 II, Z50 II, Zf, and the most recent Nikon Z camera, the video-oriented ZR. There are nine new RED-developed Imaging Recipes, plus a trio of new ones from professional creators.

Sony’s Great ZV-E10 II Camera Gets Even Better With Free 4Kp120 Upgrade

When the Sony ZV-E10 II launched in July 2024, it did so with the promise of significant improvements over its predecessor and high-level content creation ambitions. One of the biggest improvements was finally delivering 4Kp60 video, something the original ZV-E10, puzzlingly, could not. Now, with a free upgrade released today, the ZV-E10 II can do one better: 4Kp120 recording.

You Can Now Edit Images Using Photoshop Inside ChatGPT

Adobe has brought tools from Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat into OpenAI's widely used conversational AI platform, ChatGPT. Adobe's new apps for ChatGPT promise to combine ChatGPT's straightforward conversational AI with Adobe's "industry-leading" creative tools. Adobe says it is now even easier for everyone to edit photos and transform documents, all without leaving ChatGPT.

Viltrox’s New 2x Teleconverter for Sony E-Mount Costs Under $300

Viltrox has been busy so far in December. Alongside wide-angle and telephoto conversion lenses for Fujifilm X100 Series cameras, the Chinese lens maker has also launched a new 2x teleconverter for Sony E-mount cameras. The new teleconverter works with the expected Sony lenses, plus Viltrox's 135mm f/1.8 prime.

Viltrox’s Conversion Lens Gives the Fujifilm X100 a Wider 28mm Prime
