Interested in writing for PetaPixel? We are currently looking for freelance news writers who are both passionate and knowledgeable about photography.

PetaPixel is growing its team, and we need your talent! Right now, we’re looking to bring on more writers who have knowledge of the photography space to help write news content.

News Writer — Freelance (Part-Time)

As part of our editorial team, you will be tasked with writing news stories covering the world of photography, equipment, art, and more.

Ideal candidate is familiar with nearly all things consumer technology with a particular focus on imaging, including industry-standard camera terminology and technology.

Candidates can be based anywhere in the world.

Job Responsibilities

• Be available for 2-3 hours on weekday mornings (US time)
• Contribute 2-4 short assigned news stories of 350-500 words per day
• Abide by PetaPixel’s Editorial Guidelines

Preferred Skills

• A thorough understanding of photography concepts
• Experience writing news stories
• Basic experience with WordPress
• Experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, etc.
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of the AP Style
