Sony Springs Another Leak, We Get Our First Picture of the Upcoming Alpha 3000

Over the last couple of weeks we've mentioned more than once that Sony has a lot of releases coming up, and as those releases draw near, inevitable photo and spec leaks also spring up. Yesterday it was the upcoming NEX-5T and a few new E-Mount lenses, and today it's the first photo of the upcoming Alpha 3000 (sometimes referred to as the ILC-3000).

Leaked Photos of Sony’s Upcoming NEX-5T and Three New E-Mount Lenses

Sony is primed to announce quite a few new products in the coming months. Some of the more exciting rumored products include the groundbreaking Lens Cameras and the NEX full frame mirrorless camera everyone has been salivating over.

The photos that leaked earlier today, however, don't show either of those. Instead we get a peek at three upcoming lenses and an updated NEX-5 series camera.

Photo of Fuji’s Soon to be Released Entry-Level X-A1 Leaks Online

A month ago, we heard some rumors that Fujifilm was working on an entry-level X-Series camera for those of us who didn't want to spend on the X-M1 but wanted something better than the X100. Details were (and to some degree still are) a bit thin, but now we have what seems to be the first leaked photo of the upcoming mirrorless camera.

Rumor: Canon Hopes to Launch a Digital Medium Format System in 2014

Last week, we reported on a rumor that Canon has been investing heavily in a major European medium format camera manufacturer. Some believe the company to be Phase One.

Now, murmurings of Canon's involvement in the medium format space are heating up. The latest word is that Canon may be planning to launch a digital medium format system of its own by the end of 2014.

First Pictures of Sony’s Groundbreaking Lens Cameras Surface

There's been a lot of doubt surrounding recent rumors that Sony is working on a couple of revolutionary "lens cameras." The smartphone-attachable lenses -- complete with built-in sensor and processor -- seemed far-fetched to some, but now that we have our first leaked images, any remaining doubts should start melting away.

Fresh Rumors Suggest Canon is Looking at Jumping Into Medium Format

The idea that Canon would take the leap into medium format has been tossed around as both rumor and joke. Last August, we were told to expect a Canon Medium Format DSLR at Photokina -- obviously that rumor didn't pan out. Eight months later, photographer Krik Tuck made an April Fools announcement along the same lines.

It's unclear how serious the company itself is about the possibility, but we now have a fresh rumor that is yet again pointing towards the same outcome.

Sigma May Be Building a Groundbreaking 24-70mm f/2 Lens for Full Frame Cameras

Sigma has been on a tear as of late. Since late 2012, the company has put out a highly regarded 35mm f/1.4 lens, a novel USB dock that lets you calibrate lenses at home, and a revolutionary 18-35mm lens with a constant f/1.8 aperture (shown above).

It appears Sigma is only just getting warmed up: new rumors suggest that Sigma may be building a 24-70mm zoom lens for full frame cameras that boasts a constant f/2.0 aperture.

Product Shots and Specs for Panasonic’s Upcoming GX7 Leaked

Panasonic is having a hard time keeping a lid on its upcoming rangefinder-styled GX7 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera. Just last week, the first images and a list of specs leaked through an online photo magazine, and now we have a full set of specs and product shots to look at.

Sigma Teaser Website Gets the Internet Buzzing with Speculation

It's not uncommon for photography companies to launch strange teaser campaigns that get folks wondering what the company has up its sleeve. In the past, we've seen everything from bags of walnuts to mysteriously worded ads. The latest from Sigma falls into the second category, and has the entire photographic community buzzing with speculation and excitement.

Images of Panasonic’s Rangefinder-Styled GX7 Leak One Month Early

Earlier this month, we told you that Panasonic was planning to jump onto the retro-style bandwagon sometime in August with the release of its GX7 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera.

At the time we only had a few illustrations and some preliminary specs, but now that we're about a month out from the announcement, some official photos and a more comprehensive spec list have both surfaced.

Images of the Hasselblad Stellar Compact Leaked, Official Announcement in 6 Days

At the end of last month, a couple of job listings on Hasselblad's website revealed that the company was working on two new compacts and a DSLR. Part of their partnership with Sony, the hope was that these upcoming models would do better than the Hasselblad Lunar, which fell flat once people discovered it was basically a rebranded Sony NEX-7 with a much larger price tag.

Well, images of the first of those three cameras have leaked, but it doesn't look like Hasselblad is breaking the mold. Dubbed the Hasselblad Stellar (in keeping with the space theme), the first of the two rumored compacts looks to be a Sony RX100 made with more exotic camera housing materials.

Details Emerging About Sony’s Upcoming Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

We reported in December 2012 that Sony was planning to unleash a full frame mirrorless within a year. We're about halfway to that one year mark now, and as Sony gets ready to unveil its latest creation, new details are starting to emerge that paint a clearer picture of the revolutionary camera we'll be seeing.

Panasonic to Unveil a Rangefinder-styled GX7 MFT Camera Next Month

Styling your mirrorless camera after retro rangefinder cameras of old is popular among camera makers these days, and it appears that the next company to jump onto the bandwagon will be Panasonic. Late next month, the company will be announcing a new Micro Four Thirds camera called the GX7 -- the company's first rangefinder-styled camera.

Apple’s Next Generation iPhone May Pack a 120FPS Slow-Motion Camera

It seems like developers are always finding goodies hidden in Apple's iOS 7 beta software. Late last month it was discovered that iOS 7 may eventually be capable of detecting blinking and smiling in photos, and now? Well, let's just say Apple may be developing a slow-motion camera for the next iteration of the iPhone, which is expected to be announced later this year.

Nokia ‘EOS’ Product Photos Leak, Might Make Landfall Later This Month

About a month ago, we got our first look at what is rumored to be the next big thing from Nokia camera-wise. Codenamed the 'EOS,' a few sources leaked IRL photos of the upcoming smartphone, showing off the bulging PureView camera module on the back and encouraging many consumers who believed that this would be Nokia's stateside version of the company's 808 PureView.

Now, we have a couple of leaked low-res product shots to corroborate those IRL images, and a potential release date that has the phone making an official appearance before month's end.

Rumor: Almost Official Canon 70D to Set a New Benchmark in ISO Performance

As the Canon EOS 60D gets ready to make way for its big brother at an announcement expected later tonight, more info is leaking about the soon-to-be official 70D. In addition to the whole list of leaked specs and pictures from last week, we're now hearing that the camera will set "a new benchmark" when it comes to ISO performance.

Hasselblad Job Listings Reveal Plans for Two Compact Cameras and a DSLR

So far, the partnership between Hasselblad and Sony hasn't been as enriching as both companies might have hoped for. Hasselblad's Lunar mirrorless camera was met with less-than-favorable reviews once people realized it was basically a re-branded Sony NEX-7 with a massive price tag.

But have no fear, the companies haven't stopped working together yet. In fact, if recent Hasselblad job listings are to be trusted, the company has three new cameras in the works.

Canon 70D Photos and Specs Spotted in Leaked Advertisement

Canon will soon be announcing a 70D to replace the 60D in its mid-level lineup, and we have a pretty darn good idea of what that camera will be like. An advertisement for the camera has leaked onto the web, revealing just a couple of photos but a whole list of specs and features.

iOS 7 Lets Developers Detect Blinking and Smiling in Photos

When a beta version of Apple's iOS software is released, you can bet developers are sifting through the code like mad to see if any new features have been added to the mobile operating system.

It would appear as if hidden in the code for iOS 7 beta 2 are camera-oriented features for use by developers. One feature apparently detects smiling in photos, the other detects blinking. These detectors may hint at features coming to the iPhone, iPod, and iPad cameras in the future.
