Free App Creates the Perfect Custom Fujifilm Film Simulation for You

A significant part of the appeal of Fujiflim's X and GFX Series cameras is Fujifilm's phenomenal Film Simulations. While many photographers enjoy these carefully created simulations straight out of the box, experimental shooters can also build their own in-camera and save them as custom recipes. Photographer Oliver Mandic has built a free web tool to help Fujifilm owners craft new image recipes based on the look they want and the subject they like capturing.

Photographer Brings 104-Year-Old Kodak Camera Back to Life

Austrian photographer Markus Hofstaetter purchased a century-old Eastman View Camera No. 2-D, also known as the Kodak 2D, more than six months ago and has since spent the time since restoring the camera to its former glory. After all the time and effort, the 104-year-old camera is reborn.

Yashica Adds a Third FX-D Version That Actually Has a Viewfinder

In May, Yashica announced two versions of an upcoming digital camera called the FX-D, a digital camera that sports many analog-inspired features (including a film advance lever). Both of those original options feature a pentaprism-like bump above the lens, but it was just for looks: there was no viewfinder.

Wandrd’s New Prvke V4 Photo Backpack Is Even More Comfortable

Bag and carrying solution company Wandrd, stylized WANDRD, announced new Prvke (pronounced "provoke") V4 backpacks today, and the new Kickstarter campaign reached its funding goal in under 30 minutes. The new Prvke has been rebuilt from the ground up, featuring redesigned panels, straps, access points, and an updated internal layout. Alongside two versions of the Prvke V4, Wandrd also released a new and improved version of its Camera Cube for photographers.

Insta360 Goes Public in China, 33-Year-Old Founder Now a Billionaire

360-degree camera and technology company Insta360 has gone public on the Chinese stock market, and the company's shares surged to nearly 180 yuan, or about $25, an almost four-fold increase from its initial public offering (IPO) price of 47.27 yuan per share. The company is now valued at 71 billion yuan, or nearly $9.9 billion, making its 33-year-old founder, Liu Jingkang, also known as JK Liu, a billionaire, Forbes reports.
