Canon RF Zoom Lens Comparison: Is the $3,000 28-70mm f/2 Worth It?

Photographer and YouTuber Matt Granger has put together a lens shootout that'll be really valuable for anybody who is new to Canon's full-frame mirrorless cameras. In this video, he compares the image quality of the four main RF-mount zoom lenses: the 28-70mm f/2, the 24-70mm f/2.8, the 24-105mm f/4, and the 24-240mm f/4-6.3.

The State of Canon’s RF Mount, One Year Later

For Canon, Nikon, and Panasonic, 2018-2019 was the first year where they all truly "went for it" when it comes to full-frame mirrorless. All three released full-frame mirrorless cameras, and all three seemed to have different priorities with those releases. In this first of three segments, we're going to take a look at each of these companies in their first year and evaluate where each of them stands today in what is now a very competitive market.

Canon Working on a ‘Pro’ EOS R with Hybrid EF/RF Mount: Report

Canon has all-but-confirmed that a high-end EOS R camera is in the works, but the full-frame mirrorless flagship might be more than just a powerful addition to the current lineup. Zoom Lens Shootout: Canon RF 28-70 f/2 VS Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8

Back in July, photographer Patrick Seguin took advantage of his CPS membership to test out one of the most beastly lenses Canon has released in recent memory: the Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM. In the video above, he pits this lens against the tried and true EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM to see just how much better the new RF lens performs.

According to the latest rumors out of Japan, the RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS and RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS will both be available for pre-order later this month.

RED Teases Tiny New Camera that May Use Canon’s RF Mount: Report

Mirrorless vs DSLR: Is Canon’s New RF 85mm f/1.2L Lens Worth It?

Ever since Canon and Nikon debuted their latest lens mounts, there's been a lot of talk about the "optical advantages" of the shallower, wider Z and RF-mounts. Canon even released a video more-or-less shaming their own EF lenses by comparison. But does this translate into meaningful real-world results?
