For some time now, my favourite portrait lens has been the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 art. This lens, as many of you may know, is simply incredible when it comes to performance. Even the price of this lens isn’t unreasonable when you compare it to some alternatives currently available.
One of the biggest complaints I hear quite regularly about Sony mirrorless cameras is that their color science is horrible. Many photographers don’t seem to like how Sony interprets colors from any given scene. This it seems, to be especially true for portrait photographers. In stark contrast, color science is one of the major positive points for Canon cameras.

Sony is upping its action cam game in a big way today. The company's already well-regarded action cameras, big competitors for that GoPro that hasn't come out yet, just got Optical SteadyShot Stabilization.
DxOMark just finished testing Sony's 85mm f/1.4 GM lens, part of Sony's uncompromising new line of G Master lenses. And the results show that Sony really did leave out the compromise; in fact, it looks like the 85mm f/1.4 GM is on-par with the lusted-after Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 ... at less than half the price.
