The time had come. I’d been trying to justify keeping my X100S and X100T for some time but, in reality, since T had arrived, S had been spending increasingly lengthy spells in the cupboard. With Sony dominating the mirrorless camera market, other companies are looking to find ways to make their hardware stand out in comparison. Fujifilm has chosen to design their custom sensor array, Panasonic has focused on stunning video, and Samsung - well, they want to cram as much technology into a small package as they possibly can. The result is the NX500; and it is a real tiny camera with big promises.

Up till now, picking up a Fuji X-Series camera -- in the literal sense -- usually meant making your way to the local camera store... assuming it's still in business. But apparently that is no longer the case. As long as there's a Best Buy nearby, you can now pick up an X-Series cam in-store.
The X100T is far from the only announcement Fuji decided to make today. In addition to revealing the brand new fixed lens camera, the company is also pulling the cover off of a special 'graphite silver edition' of the powerful X-T1 camera, and adding two more lenses to its XF lineup.
The closer we get to Photokina the more excited we're becoming. Canon will supposedly unveil the 7D Mark II (among other things), Sigma supposedly has several lenses up its sleeve, we might see the next ZEISS Otus lens, and now, we're also hearing talk of a Fuji X100S successor making an appearance with some significant upgrades.
