About once per year, one of the rare Nikkor 6mm f/2.8 lenses out there pops up on eBay when some camera shop or another picks one up. The price ranges from $60K to $160K and it’s gotten to the point where we usually just ignore the listings because… well… we’ve covered them enough times.

If you’re a fan of hearing from photography greats and have some free time, check out his awesome documentary film about Henri Cartier-Bresson titled Henri Cartier-Bresson: L’amour Tout Court (“Just Plain Love”). It was directed by Raphaël O’Byrne back in 2001 when Cartier-Bresson was 92 years old, and features interviews with the legendary photojournalist as he talks about how various photographs were made.

The George Eastman House in Rochester, NY is the world’s oldest museum dedicated to photography. A couple years ago, curator Todd Gustavson wrote a book on the history of photography featuring the museum’s gigantic collection of historical cameras. This behind-the-scenes video with Gustavson gives a glimpse into the drool-worthy warehouse and a brief tour of some legendary cameras.
