[T]he discrepancies are so miniscule that it would almost be a crime not to buy the Sigma.
-
The Sigma 24mm f1.4 DG HSM Art is a very compelling addition to large aperture wide-angle lenses: it combines very good performance overall with Sigma’s build-quality of the “Art” series.
-
The lens delivers mixed results in this chapter but please remember that we have shifted our base camera to the Canon EOS 5Ds R - at 50mp things will not be pretty for several lenses. Keeping this in mind the results are surely good all-in-all here.
-
So if you are an event or portrait photographer, and you want an amazing lens that can produce superb sharpness at wide apertures, then the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 Art is probably the best wide-angle choice at the moment.
-
[I]t looks like Sigma has another sure-fire winner on its hands.
-
[T]here is always room on the market for another good ultra-wide aperture prime lens.
-
Ironically my time spent with the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 ART made me realize how far the Sigma ART series has come in the past three years.
-
Whether you use full frame or APS-C, the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is a very enjoyable professional tool which comes highly recommended.
-
To date, other lenses in Sigma’s ‘Art’ series of optics have been well received, thanks in part to the optical quality they deliver and for very reasonable pricing when compared to manufacturer’s own equivalent lenses.
-
This is a relatively small concern for most photographers, though, so we can strongly recommend the new Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM as a fast, well-built wide-angle prime lens that delivers excellent results at a price that won't break the bank.
-
Continuing the trend set by previous Sigma Art-line lenses, this 24mm prime is beautifully built and delivers exceptional image quality.
-
The Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens is the widest entry in the company's full-frame f/1.4 Art series. There's some fall-off at wide apertures, but it's extremely sharp and competitively priced.
-
If you don’t own a 24mm lens and are looking for the best, the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 Art is in my opinion the best wide angle lens(opens in new tab) right now. It just also happens to be the cheapest option as well.
-
Sigma has done it again. Another fine lens which, while not quite “better” in every area than the Canon, certainly brings exciting quality and value at half the price.
-
The Sigma 24mm F1.4 Art has excelled in every aspect of testing. It is dumbfoundingly sharp across all apertures, presents low chromatic aberrations, and is virtually distortion free.
-
I honestly don't have any real negative criticism about this lens, I think it's fantastic.
-
This is a fantastic lens, one of my new favorites. It's very sharp in the center, and it's got that beautiful 1.4 aperture, which means you can really blow out your background.

The 24 offers solid build, fast autofocus, and beautiful results, which is really all that matters. It's a gem of a lens that's absolutely worthy of your camera bag.
-
Been very happy with this lens. If you're in the market for a 24 millimeter, it's really hard to beat this guy because the Canon, not as good; Rokinon, definitely not as good; Nikon, I don't know, I don't use Nikon, so I'm not sure.
- Photo Feaver 40/50
I think this is definitely worth a spot in your camera bag if you're a working professional, and I would highly recommend this lens over the Canon lens simply because of that price point.
-
I do enjoy using it on the steadicam because of this lens I saved my shoot on the darkness almost and I was very satisfied with the results with the look of it.
-
In terms of sharpness, if you remember at the start of the video, I kind of explained Sigma have a really unique lens pattern that really enables them to get very sharp images, and that's definitely the case with the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art.
-
It is a beautiful lens, absolutely a beautiful lens.
-
[T]ill now, the 24mm lenses that I have used, I found this the best in terms of still and video quality, sharpness, even in terms of the distortion.
-
So this lens is really a game changer if you want to shoot untracked astrophotography.
-
You don't have to have ten lenses, it's not necessary, but I would say for me overall, so glad I have it.
