Luminar Neo Adds Panorama Stitching in its Latest Paid Extension
Skylum has announced its latest extension for the Luminar Neo app called Panorama Stitching, a tool that allows photographers to create wide sweeping panoramic images by merging multiple single frames together.
According to the company, this new extension will give photographers quick and easy access to four methods of image stitching: Pano Stitching, HDR Panorama, Panorama from Video, and Object/Subject Composition Panorama. The company claims that photographers can create these larger images without having to learn other software and can work entirely inside of Neo.

Pano Stitching
The “Standard” Pano Stitching function using the Luminar Neo Extension will let users easily stitch RAW of JPEG files together to create “seamless panoramic photos that convey the grandeur of vast landscape and cityscape scenes.”
HDR Panorama
Similar to the standard method, the HDR Panorama option will let users handle challenging lighting situations by combining multiple exposures and pano brackets into a single HDR panoramic file that will preserve every detail from the brightest highlight to the darkest shadows.
Panorama from Video
The Panorama from Video option will give users the ability to leverage “motion files” to create panoramic images from their videos. The Panorama Stitching extension will allow users to add video footage and extract frames to stitch together into a panoramic still. “Re-imagine action sequences in a whole new way as your videos are transformed into stunning, wide-spanning photographs”
Object/Subject Composition Panorama
Leveraging the previous video tool, the Object/Subject Composition Panorama tool allows users to select specific subjects with in a video and converts them into a pano image by intelligently isolating and combining frames from the video, focusing specifically on the selected object/element, which the company says will result in visually striking panoramas that emphasize and highlight your subject in fascinating ways, and creating new ways to convey motion from a video in a single frame.
The new Panorama Stitching Extension is set to release on July 20 and will be available to monthly and annual subscribers of the Pro and Ultimate plans inclusive with their membership (along with all of the other previous extensions). Non subscribers can purchase a lifetime license of the app for $149 (regular price $199).
