It’s a big day for lens announcements, and we’re not even done yet. Sigma showed MFT and E-mount some love, and now it’s Tamron’s turn to make mirrorless owners happy. Earlier today, the company officially announced development of its first ever Micro Four Thirds lens: the 14-150mm F/3.5-5.8 Di III VC.

On the technical side, the lens is a 28-300mm equivalent that boasts Tamron’s Vibration Compensation (VC), a stepping motor for silent, speedy autofocus, a circular diaphragm, and a combination of glass elements that together “thoroughly [compensate] for aberrations.”

The lens will be available in black or silver, but for now we have no idea when that will be or how much it will cost to get your hands on it. Still, it’s good to see MFT lens options continue to expand.
