Los Angeles Dodgers star Tyler Glasnow reportedly met his girlfriend after he got the team photographer to “zoom in on her” as she sat in the audience.

A Major League Baseball (MLB) broadcaster revealed the unusual way that a photographer helped Glasnow meet his girlfriend Meghan Murphy while commentating on the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the San Diego Padres on Friday.

In a clip that is being widely circulated on social media, the MLB broadcaster describes how Glasnow boldly made his move on Murphy while he was still part of the Tampa Bay Rays in 2021.

According to the broadcaster, Glasnow noticed Murphy in the audience of a pro baseball game. The pitcher then asked the Tampa Bay Rays team photographer to use his camera to get a close-up of her to see if she was attractive.

“At the ballpark, when he was pitching for the Rays, he said he noticed her off in the distance and he said ‘she looks cute,’” the commentator says during the broadcast of the baseball game.

“So he had the team photographer zoom in on her. And he said ‘yeah, confirmed. I think she’s pretty cute.’”

Afterward, Glasnow threw a baseball to Murphy with his phone number on it. The team photographer’s help paid off as the Los Angeles Dodgers star has been dating the Tampa-based plastic surgeon for the last three years.

“So he gets a ball, writes his phone number on it, throws it up to her, and said ‘text me,’” the broadcaster explains.

“She comes to the next game, throws him a ball back with her number, and says ‘no, you text me.’

“And so he did and the rest is history.”

Glasnow, who is in his first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, went on to pitch seven innings of one-hit ball and allowed just one earned run to go along with 10 strikeouts in the game against the San Diego Padres.

But the Los Angeles Dodgers’ offense faltered and the San Diego Padres eventually wound up with a victory on Friday.
