- PetaPixel 8.5/10
I'm all for lenses that offer the 20mm as a starting point, and both Sony and Panasonic users have another great alternative on the market now.
-
It’s small and easy to carry, focuses quickly and accurately, and delivers very respectable image quality.
-
The Sigma 20-60mm F2.8-4 DG Contemporary Lens appeals to amateur photographers seeking a shifted-wider general-purpose focal length range in a compact, lightweight, affordable package.
-
In some ways the little Sigma 20-60mm F2.8-4 DG | Contemporary will be overshadowed by the long-awaited Sigma 85mm F1.2 | ART being released at the same time (my review here), but the truth of the matter is that the 20-60mm is going to end up in far more photographer’s bags [...]

Despite some of its imperfections, I can quite happily recommend this one.
-
At 20 to 60 is a really practical range, and I'm loving it more than I thought I would. It's so versatile, and that 20 makes a world of difference.
-
This is a great combination of a lens that is light and compact, delivers great results and handles beautifully. There are, as mentioned, a couple of small points such as the zoom creep, but overall a near faultless experience.
-
Now Sigma does, and it’s a little beauty for anyone and everyone who wants extravagant ultra-wide-angle coverage at a less than extravagant price, and isn’t so fussed about telephoto reach. It’s a little cracker.
-
I had lots of fun playing with this lens. I'm normally someone who goes around with multiple lenses cuz I'm spoiled and I was surprised by how little I felt like I was missing.
-
All in all, this is just a great lens to keep on your camera for whatever comes up.
