This Short Film is About the Life of a 35mm Film Camera

Filmmaker Andrew Saladino of The Royal Ocean Film Society made this 5-minute short film titled “The Life of a Camera.” It tells the story of a Yamasheta 35mm film camera over decades of use, all through the eyes and photos of the camera.

“Before there were smartphones, people actually took pictures with cameras on film,” the synopsis reads. “This 35mm Yamasheta is one of those cameras. Now broken and dead, The Royal Ocean Film Society takes a look back at the life that it lived through the photos it took.”
