“Tick Tock”: A Creative Short Film That Will Bend Your Mind and Inspire You

 

Do you like movies that make you think and make more sense the second time around? If so, “Tick Tock” is a short film that you’ll probably enjoy. This 4 minute film was shot in one take with a Canon 5D Mark II and 24-70mm lens, and required a whopping 36 takes to get right. If this doesn’t inspire you to do something awesome with your DSLR, we don’t know what will.

    REALLY good idea, VERY well done, GREAT work!

    A great demonstration that awesome things can be done when there are good ideas and creativity, even in low budget productions.

    But its a prank his friend is doing, plus from couple of morfine pills you wont die. And pretty stupid story cause nowadays you can easily call 911 and he passed tons of people who could had help him to a hospital. Also not really shot that pretty and they didn’t even try talking backwards and ADR so it would look that they are talking real time, so not really much special about this seen better ones that goes backwards in time.

    I wasn’t very impressed. Not the first backwards story we’ve seen or the first story about guilt and atonement.

    This is a great film! I truly enjoyed the storyline and I understand the quote at the end. Too bad we are all influenced by everything we shouldn’t be influenced by.

    Personally, I liked the sims-esque speak created by the backwards audio and resulting subtitles, added to the ‘other-worldly’ sense.

    It’s called panic. You don’t think rationally or reasonably… he wasn’t thinking about what amount might be enough to kill him or that he should try to get himself to a hospital (he did tell the friend to call 911 though). It’s not a stupid story, it’s about a prank that scares a guy into realizing what matters in life within a hearbeat… pretty clever if you ask most people.
