Landscape Photography in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland

Torridon, Glencoe, and the Isle of Skye have drawn landscape photographers and artists over the centuries. The highlands of Scotland are extensive and uninterruptedly breathtaking – a Big Country indeed. This is the internationally perceived face of Scotland – a meticulously sculpted land of peaks, glens, lakes, and shorelines. And rain or mist to make or break the scene dependent on your disposition.

This Aerial Short Film Shows the Beauty of Scotland’s Wilderness at Golden Hour

Freelance aerial videographer John Duncan of Edinburgh, Scotland, recently spent about 5 months taking his camera drone to remote locations around his country, searching for epic landscapes and ethereal light (especially during golden hour).

The fruit of his efforts is this 3.5-minute short film, titled "Wild Scotland." It's a gorgeous tour of Scotland's beauty.

From last week's unique 'layer lapse,' to the 'flow-motion' hyperlapse of Pyongyang in August, standing out in the genre has become a matter of doing something new and unique... something that will earn you headline words like 'breathtaking' and 'jaw-dropping.'

But the team at Fourth Dimension Video took a very different approach with their latest landscape time-lapse. Shot this last June at Scotland's Isle of Skye, it's done entirely in black and white.
