Landscape Photo Competition Celebrates the Rugged Beauty of Scotland
Scotland is an enchanting destination known for its dramatic landscapes and rugged beauty — and the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition celebrates photographers documenting the charming country.
The competition has announced its 2023 winners with Brian Pollock being crowned Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year as well as scooping the winning portfolio award.
Pollock shot his images in the renowned Scottish Highlands, capturing craggy peaks, sastrugi formations, and rain clouds rolling over the “Grey Corries.”
“I am delighted to receive the news that I have won Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2023,” says Pollock in a press release.
“The outdoors and the Scottish landscape in particular have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember and it is a privilege to be able to share that passion through my photography.”

The competition, sponsored by Bonnie & Wild Marketplace, will be exhibited in the James Centre, Edinburgh where viewers will be able to see full-wall murals and traditional prints alongside digital slides.
The winning images will be showcased in a limited edition book and exhibited at the new St. James Quarter in the Scottish capital as well as some smaller galleries in the Scottish Highlands throughout 2023.
