NPPA Applauds Media Solidarity Against White House Ban

The National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) already made its stance known when the White House banned several news outlets from access, so it should come as no surprise that it is in support of the current solidarity from other news organizations.

When the White House prevented CNN from fulfilling its scheduled television-pool assignment, the other networks appropriately refused to replace it. Still photographers also delayed distributing their images in solidarity. The National Press Photographers Association applauds these actions and encourages news organizations to continue standing together. The government should not be permitted to exclude a disfavored outlet and simply replace it with another.
