It's a really good lens. The image quality is insane and I'm sure you've been able to see it throughout this video.

[...] I think this camera is properly exciting.
As a video first guy, I love using this camera for unique perspectives, using it for action-oriented shots.
To me, the improved bokeh turns it from being a fantastic macro lens into a more versatile lens that you could use for events and portraits.
[I]f I was choosing to buy one of these lenses and I had neither, I would probably go with the 100mm G Master because at a price tag of only $500 more, you're getting a lot more value out of it.
All right, jokes aside though, this is kind of the crux of the argument of why the A7CR is honestly just kind of a better camera in almost every single way.
[T]he thing to me that makes this lens so compelling is the fact that it can do all of this at a price point of under $600.
So far, after shooting with this lens for about 2 weeks now, I feel like this lens excels in basically everything you'd use it for.
It falls short when it comes to autofocus performance, but otherwise is an outstanding lens, especially at its price point.
The improved sharpness performance at every stop, especially corner-to-corner sharpness, as well as improved artifact suppression, and significantly better autofocus performance, the Mark II is just a fantastic lens.
If you're running a photography business and this is a tool for you to make money, then trust me when I say that this is going to be a lens that you use a lot.
I just still can't get over the fact that they put autofocus into the 10mm lens, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park on their first ever attempt at an autofocus lens.
So if you're looking for the versatility of a standard zoom lens and you don't need that extra reach between 50 and 70 in your focal length and you want something that's light to carry around, this is definitely a lens you should consider.
The construction feels great, the glass is impressive, the features are plentiful, and the price is incredible.
[T]his lens is sharp, the autofocus is fast, it's compact and can be my everyday video lens and is also a great wide angle to throw on a gimbal, which is why I recommend it as the perfect wide angle everyday video lens [...]
I think that if you're trying to add some creativity to your portrait photos or narrative films, as long as you have the time to make sure everything's in focus, this is an incredible lens.
If you shoot any of these types of photography or videography, then I'd say this lens is a must-have.
Now I wouldn't say get this as your very first lens, but if you're looking for the best 50mm lens for your Sony body, I can't recommend this lens enough.
So in conclusion, for most of you, whether you're shooting on a full frame body or an APS-C body, you should probably save yourself the $450 and just pick up the nine-millimeter once it's cheaper. It's basically just as good, it's lighter, and it's smaller.
It's been one of my favorite purchases in the past three years when it comes to photo video gear, and it's one of the last lenses I'd sell about how to downsize.
At the end of the day, this lens not only looks great but delivers stunning content, whether it's photos or videos.
