If [your priority is] optical perfection — or even optical excellence — you will be disappointed.

In terms of mechanical quality, the Laowa AF 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D FF is a convincing package.
-
The appeal of sharp, near-geometric-distortion-free image quality, aesthetic metal build quality, compact size, light weight, and affordable price generate a desire to put this lens in the kit.
-
You would never think of the Laowa AF 10mm F2.8 as being a first autofocus lens, as it functions as effectively as any third party lens from well established companies.
-
[T]his Venus Optics Laowa 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D FF Autofocus lens is a masterpiece or just plain crazy, but my enjoyment in using it and genuine happiness with its final results make me err on the side of masterpiece.
-
In terms of optical performance this is generally a fine lens. It is nice to have the f/2.8 option in a lens this wide, as it allowed me to take some handheld shots during the blue hour that would have otherwise been too noisy without a tripod.
-
[...] I don't see a reason why I wouldn't recommend this lens for 800 bucks because there's really nothing else that matches it on the brand that I just talked about.
- SlashGear 9/10
It's an incredibly high quality product considering the price, and it will certainly inspire you to get out and push yourself creatively.
-
Laowa's 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D FF Autofocus has answered the question, and frankly, they may not be the first Chinese lens manufacturer to offer autofocus, but to me it is the most complete and expertly executed Chinese autofocus lens to date.
-
There's a lot of creative potential for this lens. You have to work harder with it, I think, but that's good.
-
[I]f you’re a fan of ultra wide-angle, as I am, then it’s well worth a look.
-
Really am falling for this lens; it's it's quite special, and here are my new wheels of Fury.
-
If portability and the f/2.8 aperture are important, the Laowa 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D is a perfect lens for you.
-
This is a very-well made domestic Chinese ultra-ultra wide autofocus lens with surprisingly good optics as off-brands go. It performs very well, assuming its software works properly with whatever camera you have.
-
I just still can't get over the fact that they put autofocus into the 10mm lens, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park on their first ever attempt at an autofocus lens.
-
It is truly unique and incredible what they were able to achieve with this lens.
