The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports is a great option for Leica, Panasonic and Sigma L-mount shooters. It's sharp, controls chromatic aberrations well, and provides pleasing bokeh and subject isolation.
-
[T]he blend of strong performance, good autofocus and a palatable price point make Sigma’s new telephoto zoom a good choice for Sony shooters.
-
A serious fault that Sigma hopefully can remedy. But other than that Sigma has designed a very compelling super-telephoto zoom which clearly earns a Highly Recommended - with the caveat that you need to find a good copy!
-
As I said in the beginning, the Sigma 150-600mm OS DN Sports Lens has a highly appealing focal length range complemented by a beautiful design, impressive build quality, excellent image quality, optical stabilization, excellent overall performance, and a reasonable price.
-
The Sigma 150-600 DN is a very welcome addition to the growing number of options for long telephoto performance on Sony!
-
Ultimately though, this Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN Sports lens is a nice little upgrade over their older 150-600 lenses, which were already pretty good, so it's a brilliant option for all kinds of telephoto work which comes highly recommended.
-
A combination of fast operation and AF and very good quality results has resulted in a beautiful lens. It is heavy, but manageable, is very easy to use and it locks on to the subject virtually every time.
-
The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports offers a unique and high-quality alternative to similar lenses from Sony and Tamron, and in our view it's currently the best all-round super-zoom telephoto lens for Sony Alpha shooters.
-
The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports is hard to beat. It’s superbly well-engineered, weather-sealed, has a wealth of features and delivers excellent image quality.

It's our favorite telezoom for Sony and L-mount cameras, and our Editors' Choice winner.
-
[T]he Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN Sports zoom is a well-built, weather-sealed monster of a lens that in the real world offers superb image quality, not only at the long end [...] but at intermediate fields of view as well, irrespective of price.

The obvious answer is wildlife photographers. If you're interested in photographing birds or animals and need serious reach without moving into the considerably more expensive world of super-telephoto primes, the Sigma 150-600mm makes total sense.
-
Back home with many full memory cards of photographs from testing this lens, I can say that in all kinds of weather, light, times of year, and subject matter, it was able to perform.
-
This lens is certainly good enough as a "first" dedicated super-telephoto lens for wildlife photography.
-
We can confidently recommend this lens to either Sony or L-Mount shooters if one wants to achieve some spectacular photos if the former doesn’t need the option for teleconverters.
-
I honestly think that they've hit the nail on the head with the improvements they've made to this lens. It's smaller, lighter, sharper, faster than the original version, which is kind of everything you could ask for.
-
I'm gonna go on record saying this is the one I would buy if I was gonna get a long telephoto lens like this, so big fan.
-
In my opinion, I think you should just straight up buy this lens if you're a wildlife photographer.
-
The quality of the images is superb, and both our SL2 and the S5 work very smoothly with it.
-
[T]his is a great performing lens that does exactly what it sets out to do, and here are some of my favorite shots to date with this lens so far. [...] If you're looking for a great all-around lens with a ton of value I would strongly consider this one.
