It's a beautiful piece of gear, but it is also not easy to use, weighs a ton, and is incredibly expensive.
-
For these special occasions the Nikon Z 58mm f0.95 S Noct is a unique lens with the best available performance. As such it clearly deserves a Highly Recommended although it’s extremely heavy and expensive, and manual focus only.

It is simply the best performance I've ever seen from any camera lens in the world, and by a considerable margin.
-
Taking into consideration this is an f/0.95 lens (and having used almost all the other f/0.95 lenses in existence myself) it shows an absolutely amazing, almost otherworldly performance.
-
Each little detail I learn about this lens, I'm like, "Wow, this thing would be amazing in a cine application." It's practically a cinema lens.
-
Discounting the price, this is an amazing lens that reaches the very highest level of quality. However, there are many lenses not that far behind, almost as fast, even at f/1.4 where the choice widens considerably.
-
[T]his is a lens which portrait photographers will love with thanks to the quality of results.
-
So in terms of photography, in terms of images, I am much happier now that I see the images on the computer than I was when I was on location.
-
The Nikon Z 58mm f/0.95 NOCT is a big lens - but is not nearly as big as we had imagined, or as heavy.
-
It's a dreamy lens that most people will only dream about. It's Nikon's statement to the world about what they can do with the Z system, and I am thoroughly impressed.
-
Now, this is clearly a top-of-the-line lens and optically it is simply fantastic. I was very pleased with the results that I got.
-
In general, the performance of this lens is fantastic. It's yeah, it's obviously going to be what it's meant to be, which is the pinnacle of optical performance for the Zmount.
-
The new Nikon Noct is exceptional in its build, image quality and aspiration. Undeniably big, heavy and expensive, it’s impractical for the majority of Z-camera shooters, but actually more practical than I’d imagined.
-
This lens is a lens for people who deserve the best. If you're a collector, get them now while you can.
-
Now it's one of my favorite 50s I've ever used; it is stunning. I have used other f/0.95s in the market; this lens is the best of them all.
-
The rendering is beautiful, the 3D pop is amazing.
-
[T]he Nikon 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens (Amazon, B&H) has world-class optical performance, with stunning.
