What the Reviewers Say

Ultimately the Fujifilm X-T100 delivers photos that look as good as the best models in its class and can also turn its hand to 1080p vlogging. So long as you don't shoot fast action or need smooth 4k video, it's a strong contender in the entry-level market.

As a camera designed for first-time mirrorless buyers and those advancing from smartphones, it’s very appealing, from both an aesthetic and performance perspective.

  • The Fujifilm X-T100 is a retro styled mirrorless camera, that is easy to use, with manual controls, and a compact kit lens. There's a 24mp APS-C CMOS sensor that performs well, however 4K video is only recorded at 15fps, which limits it's usefulness, and focus could be quicker.

It makes for both a very good back-up camera for more experienced users and a first mirroless camera for smartphone/compact camera upgraders.

More a cut-price Fujifilm X-T20 than a beefed-up X-A5, the X-T100 is an excellent entry-point to Fuji’s X-Series cameras. It looks great, takes wonderful pictures and doesn’t cost a fortune.

Occasional overexposure and some too-easily pressed buttons are just minor annoyances. The X-T100 has a simple, classical design, a practical and compact kit lens, and a very effective control layout.

The Fujifilm X-T100 is an absolutely gorgeous mirrorless camera with strong image quality and a reasonable price tag, so it's a shame its autofocus performance doesn't measure up.

While it hasn't quite blown us away like some of Fujifilm's higher-end X Series cameras, the stylish X-T100 gets a lot of things right, and would be a great choice if you're looking for your first mirrorless camera.

  • The inclusion of an EVF puts the X-T100 in a class above the X-A5 and makes it a more worthwhile purchase for outdoor photographers in the Southern Hemisphere, where bright sunlight can make monitor screens unreadable.

[T]he Fujifilm X-T100 is a bit of an oddity in the Japanese company's mirrorless line-up: with its power zoom lens attached it functions differently to its X-series family, but not in a way that's particularly proficient for entry-level users [...]

Let’s not get too complicated here: a camera’s job is to take photos, and the X-T100 does that very well.

The X-T100 is a true Fujifilm X Series camera, coming feature-packed and ready to pick up and play straight out of the box. The classic Fujifilm X-T design is clear and obvious and goes a long way to support the features and usability of this offering.

[I] really like the Fujifilm X-T100. There's nothing astonishing about it, but it takes all the Fujifilm staples, puts them in a compact and affordable package, so you've got the picture quality and those gorgeous film simulations that you're looking for from Fuji.

[I]f you can live with these limitations, the image quality is there. But if Fujifilm meant this camera as a way to get people to sample their offerings at a low price, they shot themselves in the foot [...]

It certainly doesn't look or feel any different and I think that the Fujifilm X-T100, while a fine camera, is lacking in a few areas where other Fuji models do better.

The X-T100 is one of the best hybrid stills and video camera that Fujifilm has released. The pictures from the camera coupled with the long line of Fujifilm lenses produces great images with strong contrast, popping color and decent resolution.

[I] think consumers are really going to like having this sort of beefy feel to it. They're going to feel like they have a pro camera and they have all the features that they'll ever need, trust me, in a consumer model.
