They may not be ground-breaking upgrades and the faster bursts will be limited by the SD slots, but given you’re getting it all at a lower initial retail price than the original GFX 100S, the new model represents good value overall.
-
Bottom line is that there is no camera priced $5000 or less that will deliver better image quality than the sensor in the GFX100S II.
-
If medium format is what you want and you don't need high shooting speeds or 8K video footage, then this camera easily comes recommended.
-
All that said, if the incredible image quality of medium-format files appeals, the GFX100S II is a compelling proposition.
-
If you have been longing for the GFX 100 II since its release last year but find it beyond your budget, the GFX 100S II might be the perfect alternative.
-
Epic images, fantastic handling and autofocus worthy of the modern era, the Fujifilm GFX100S II makes medium format more applicable than ever at a cheaper price than the full fat GFX100 II.
-
The $5,000 Fujifilm GFX100S II gives professionals outstanding picture quality at a significantly reduced price over the $7,500 flagship GFX100 II.
-
If the interface, display, slightly slower speed, and lack of CFexpress Type B card don't bother you, then you can save yourself $2,000 and this is really a fantastic camera.
- Photo Review 9.2/10
Like its precursor, the GFX100S II is a great choice for commercial and wedding photography and, with a suitable lens, it’s also good for landscapes, cityscapes, product and food photography and even (at a pinch) street photography.
-
The Fujifilm GFX 100 S II is a medium-format beast with exceptional 102MP resolution, professional features and strong astrophotography performance. It is a stills-focused powerhouse that can withstand heavy use for a wide range of photography styles.
- SlashGear 9/10
The Fujifilm GFX 100S ii is the first camera to genuinely tempt me to switch to a new camera system from Nikon Mirrorless.
-
Between the two Fujifilm models, the GFX100S II is better for most photographers. The bulkier model has inconvenient asymmetric memory-card slots that are more inconvenient than the few features give the GFX100 II its flagship status.
-
Let's cut to the chase; the Fujifilm GFX 100S II captures exceptional image quality that puts APS-C and Full Frame to shame!
-
The GFX 100S, you get the best bang for your buck.
-
It represents good value compared to the GFX100 II, and, crucially, you have access to a long line of GF lenses, plus you can adapt many manual-focus lenses if you so desire.
-
The next-generation model encroaches into full-frame pricing, whilst offering professional photographers, serious enthusiasts and hybrid shooters the benefits of a medium format system.
-
[O]ur impressions of this Fujifilm GFX 100S II are that the colors are both vibrant and accurate.
-
I feel like the new model, the new Fujifilm GFX 100S II, it does provide some notable improvements and upgrades over the 100S, but those improvements are mostly for people who shoot handheld.
-
The first thing I can tell you is that the images out of this camera are gorgeous.
-
With a Fujifilm GFX 100S II you get the best image quality and colors I've literally ever seen in a comfortable body design that comes in at a higher price point, size, and weight. The choices do make sense; it just comes down to your use case.
