Fotodiox’s DLX Stretch Adapters Have Built-in Macro Extension Tubes

Fotodiox has announced a great new set of lens adapters for mirrorless cameras. The Fotodiox Pro DLX Stretch adapters allow for mounting third-party lenses onto a number of major camera mounts, as well as some awesome other features.

Compatible with Sony E, Micro Four Thirds, and Fujifilm X camera mounts, the adapters will come in a choice of 24 different varieties. This will suit a collection of eight different lens mounts: Canon EOS, Canon FD, Contax/Yashica, Leica R, Minolta MD, Nikon, Olympus Zuiko (OM), and Pentax K.

But what are the special new features? This new adapter has three awesome creative functions, too.

The barrel turns, extending the distance between the lens and the camera’s sensor. This gives you the function of an extension tube, allowing you to capture macro images with the lens in use. Pretty neat.

The adapter also has space where you can add one of their new ND filters into the back of the system. This means long exposures in daylight are possible, especially with the ND4, ND8, and ND16 options on offer.

Here’s a short video introducing the new adapters:

The Fotodiox Pro DLX Stretch adapters cost $130 and are available on the Fotodiox website.
