Drone Flies Into Model’s Face During Photo Shoot

Model and actress Jess Adams was posing for an sea-side clothing photo shoot in Malibu last weekend when the DJI Inspire 1 camera drone that was being used flew right into the woman’s face.

The 6.5-pound drone did enough damage that Adams visited the ER to get checked out, but luckily she escaped relatively unscathed and with all her facial features intact. She did, however, have some noticeable bruising:

“If you’re gonna get hit in the face with a drone better at least be able to watch it and die laughing,” Adams tells TMZ.

Adams is very luckily: the drone’s propellers could have done some serious damage if they had collided with her body straight on. The Inspire 1 is the same drone that sliced singer Enrique Iglesias’ fingers during a concert last year when he reached up to grab it. Just months after that incident, a toddler in the UK lost an eye when he was struck by a drone flown by a family member.
