Zeiss Unveils a New ‘Milvus’ Line of Lenses for Canon and Nikon DSLRs

Carl Zeiss today announced Milvus, a new family of lenses for Canon and Nikon DSLRs. The lenses are optimized for the high-resolution cameras that are emerging in today’s market. The line has 6 models for each mount at launch: a 21mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, 50mm f/2, and 100mm f/2.

The lenses all feature an anti-reflective coating, standardized color characteristics, “practically distortion-free” imaging, a 9-blade circular apertures, extremely accurate manual focusing, a “De-click” function (for Nikon F) that provides continuous aperture for video, an all-metal barrel, and weatherproofing.
