Fotodiox EveVenger Eyecup Keeps Light Out of Your DSLR Viewfinder
Fotodiox has announced a new product called the EyeVenger Eyecup Kit that gives photographers a custom viewfinder eyepiece for left and right eyes that blocks out unwanted light.
DSLR eyepieces that ship with cameras are generally designed to be universal, providing the same functionality for left- and right-eyed photographers, but the flexibility comes at a cost: light is often able to enter from gaps between your eye and the eyepiece.
Fotodiox says its new product is designed to block out this light, preventing eye strain, removing distractions, and giving you a better view of your composition.
Each kit comes with two eyecups — one for each eye — and two mounting brackets for 18mm and 22mm eyepiece mounts. The eyecups are made from soft, durable rubber and comfortably surround your eye to for a light-tight seal.
The EyeVenger is currently available for Canon DSLRs only and can be purchased from the Fotodiox online store for $20.
