Your Landscape Photos Are Missing Something: Cartoon Panda Bears

Fotodiox, makers of photography products such as the super-thin Pro Fusion Sony E to Nikon Z autofocus adapter and the RhinoCam Vertex stitching adapters for using medium-format lenses on full-frame cameras, has announced a new filter system for ultra-wide lenses, the WonderPanda.

Building on Fotodiox’s existing WonderPana filter system for wide-angle photography, the WonderPanda takes the useful see-through WonderPana filters and gives them a cute twist — a giant panda bear that blocks light from even reaching the image sensor.

“Introducing WonderPanda. Our WonderPanda filters are similar to our existing line of WonderPana filters for ultra-wide-angle lenses,” explains Sean from Fotodiox. “But they now include the cartoon face of a panda bear.”

The bear-iffic WonderPanda filter works just like the WonderPana. Photographers attach the adapter ring filter holder to their lens and then put the WonderPanda on.

“Our WonderPanda filters are great for landscape photography. Let’s say you’re shooting a beautiful landscape, but it’s missing something. Maybe it’s a missing a cartoon panda face,” Fotodiox says.

The WonderPanda filter system is not only for larger wide-angle lenses. Fotodiox knows its customers well and is always keen to deliver the exact products photographers need. So, of course, there will also be a WonderPanda for the Pentax Q camera.

Thankfully, Fotodiox has made a special version of WonderPanda just for the Pentax Q.

“Some of you may be asking, ‘Why on Earth would I want to add a cartoon panda face to my landscape photography?'” asks Sean. “And the answer is simple: Shut up.”

The WonderPanda is perhaps even as great as Fotodiox’s Crystal Camera, launched on April 1, 2023. The $75 camera, perfect for not taking pictures at all, was just what the doctor ordered.

If you can’t get enough panda bears — and really, who can? — don’t forget to check out the world’s first all-white albino panda bear caught on camera last May.

For photographers who want so-called “real” products, Fotodiox also has plenty of those. The WonderPana filter system, complete with filters that photographers have called “useful but very lacking in the cartoon panda face department,” includes filter holders and large UV, neutral density, and polarizing filters designed for landscape photography.
