Return of the Megapixel Wars: Sony to Announce 46MP Full-Frame Camera in Q1 of 2015

It looks like Canon isn’t the only one ready to re-start the dreaded Megapixel Wars with a high megapixel camera that has been all but confirmed to exist. Nope, fresh info from highly trusted sources claims that Sony will be jumping into the fray as well with a 46MP full-frame camera to be announced at the beginning of 2015.
The news is being reported by both Sony Alpha Rumors and Mirrorless Rumors. SAR is reporting with 80% confidence that a 46MP camera will arrive in either A or E-Mount in Q1 or 2015. MR goes a bit further by saying that it will ‘almost certainly’ be a full-frame E-Mount camera in the A7 series, adding that it will feature an advanced AF system like the one found in the Sony a6000.
