Kodak is Supplying ‘Tanker Loads’ of Alcohol to NY for Hand Sanitizer
Kodak has announced that it is now supplying New York State with “tanker loads” of isopropyl alcohol for the production of free hand sanitizer to aid in the fight against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The alcohol is coming from Kodak’s Eastman Business Park facility in Rochester. While Purell and other competitors typically have up to 70% alcohol in their hand sanitizers, NYS Clean contains 75% alcohol.
“Kodak is committed to helping fight the spread of COVID-19,” says Kodak Executive Chairman Jim Continenza. “I could not be prouder of our dedicated team members who quickly mobilized to provide this essential ingredient for hand sanitizer.
“We will continue to work closely with New York and federal representatives to identify other ways to bring Kodak’s resources and technology to bear in the fight against this pandemic.”
