Sometimes pricing your services creatively can be a good marketing tactic. Other times, as in the case of this photographer, it can be quite the opposite.
Ahahah, he probably lives in an area with a lot of fat people. With this rate, he can make 150$ out of each portrait.
If I were a parent, I’d be tempted to have pictures of my newborn done by this guy! It’d only work out at about £2, even for a large baby! [£2 works out as about $3.5]
Great find! This is way better than Group-On!!! Professional headshot for my newborn for under $5 bucks!!!!
So, if I lie about my weight.. I can get his services at a discount eh?
I would only pay him for the number of pounds visible in the headshot. :)
Guess what, the guy just can’t stand lensing fat people anymore.
Maybe he is hoping to attract some lovely skinny model types :)
What a dipshit. He’s just insulted everyone who isn’t perfectly secure in their self image.
yea pretty much. I bet his photography blows.
Actually — if we assume the best — his intent may have been to attract parents of children, who might return later if pleased for a full-priced photo session. In which case it’s not a bad marketing scheme.
Good old Mike Shea. He got a lot of folk to look at his FB page. A few more than his photography does anyway.
He suggests that his services are for adults, he says: ‘update your headshot for professional needs’ I don’t know any babies with professional needs! ;-)
He may have physical balance to weigh head of the customers :)))
Very creative! Kind of offensive if you’re fat… but a great deal for people with anorexia and/or bulimia!
Double negatives = one positively great article!
