Reviewer Consensus
Exceptional
The Viltrox 75mm f/1.2 AF provides exceptional image quality and sharpness that rivals premium glass at a significantly lower price point. While the lens is a robust and well-built addition to the APS-C system, it is physically heavy and exhibits noticeable performance limitations in challenging lighting and video scenarios.

This is a truly extraordinary lens that will whet the appetite of any photographer that enjoys shooting with primes.

The Viltrox is becoming a force to be reckoned with now. Given the degree of refinement of the AF 75mm f/1.2 PRO XF, they are now truly competing with the big boys - at a much lower price.
-
All told, the optical performance of the Viltrox Pro 75mm F1.2 is actually rather special. There are few APS-C lenses that I’ve tested that I like better as a portrait lens, and I feel like the image quality well surpasses the price point of $549.
-
[T]his Viltrox 75mm f/1.2 AF lens is clearly bargain of the century.
-
[W]e are deeply impressed by its performance and we would recommend its purchase with a clear conscience, especially that the producers didn't go over the top with the price and, as a result, this model can be bought for about $500.
-
We don’t need a longer conclusion here: the image quality is outstanding, bokeh is nice, the build quality and controls hardly leave something to be desired and even the price is fair.
-
I have to say I'm really impressed with the image quality coming off this lens and the usability. It handles really well.
-
As I said in the beginning of this video, this is Viltrox's best lens, and I think it's even better than their 13mm lens.
-
It's honestly in my opinion the best option right now for the crop factor Sony cameras when you factor in the cost of the lens, the quality that it produces, and that background butter is remarkable.
-
[T]he Viltrox 75mm f/1.2 AF is a great addition to the X-mount system, if you are looking for a short telephoto prime for your Fujifilm APS-C camera, I can highly recommend this Viltrox 75mm f/1.2 AF.
-
I think portrait, corporate, and wedding shooters will love this lens, and I think they'll probably like the price even more.
-
[T]his lens is kind of a pro lens. It's very similar to a G Master lens but obviously for the APS-C range.
-
Outside of some flaring when shooting in direct sunlight, I really can’t find anything negative to say about the Viltrox 75mm f/1.2.
-
Viltrox is really making a strong statement with this lens and the new Viltrox 13 millimeter 1.4. Both lenses have amazing image quality, they fill a gap that hasn't been covered by the native Fujifilm lens line-up, and they do this all at a very competitive cost.
-
So I think this is a must-have lens for the Fujifilm system if you want to get shots, videos, photos, whatever you shoot, that have a really special look where the background is a bit more compressed and you have this insane bokeh.
-
If you're wondering about sharpness and worry that this lens isn't going to be sharp, then I can tell you right now that that is not an issue at all whatsoever.
-
[I]n summary, yeah, the Viltrox 75mm F1.2 is an excellent lens, I think—and I can see it being used for Weddings, Portraits, and even street photographers to a certain extent if they want a nice “pop” to some long-distance shots.
-
This lens is an exceptional performer.
-
[I]t's pretty hard to ignore that Viltrox is really making a name for themselves in the Fuji XF lineup as a major player.
-
I think that Viltrox has hit an absolute home run with this lens, and for those of us who shoot with Fujifilm cameras, this is a very exciting lens in terms of the focal length and the image quality and the performance.

This is a phenomenal lens, and I will admit it's a bit of a tough sell on Sony, but on Fuji Xmount, I feel like this thing is a no-brainer.
