[C]oming to this thing from the Pixel 8 Pro I can see clear improvements in the camera technology, and the screen's a bit brighter, but apart from that the Pixel 8 Pro was actually better in some ways.

[T]he new design, the new form factor, absolutely an upgrade over the regular Z folds.
Slick performance as well.
It's an all round pretty solid smartphone, although a few wee issues here and there.
Hands down the best camera phone right now.
[T]he Vivo X300 Ultra boasts some of the most impressive and special camera tech in 2026.
I got to say, I rather like it. It ticks most of those requisite boxes to make my naughty bits suitably pointy.
[T]he image quality on the whole is superb.
[W]hat Vivo has done here is taken the rather splendid V60 and just tweaked it updated it in a couple of key areas and made an absolute banger.
[M]y impression hasn't changed in the intervening months.
A flagship that I've got very little to complain about. I'd happily have stuffed in my pants every single day especially thanks to that excellent battery life.
Gorgeous screen and beefy audio which will please any movie and gaming fans out there as well.
I'd have to say the Vivo X200 FE is one of the best phones of 2025 that you can't actually buy in blighty.
Certainly a big old upgrade over previous generations. Feels incredibly well put together.
All the same though, I'd say unless you're a hardcore gamer or something, you should be more than satisfied having the Pixel 9a stuffed in your pants for the long haul.
Couple of upgrades over the old Vivo V40, including of course an all new bigger battery, and it's fully water resistant as well; can take a proper full-on spurting if that's ever an issue.
I got to say it's a pretty solid flagship smartphone all around.
[T]he OnePlus 13 is an absolute banger for your portrait snaps, especially when you swap to the telephoto lens.
I do still think it's one of the best flagships of 2024. It's only gotten better thanks to that OxygenOS 15 update.
It's nothing outlandish, nothing super special compared with the Pixels, the Samsungs, all the other premium style flagship phones that you can get out there right now, but hopefully it'll cost you a little bit less than some of the Samsungs and the rest.
[I]f you want the full Pixel experience and you got about 500 quid to spend, well, job fracking done.
I find that the one thing that it's really lacking is that flair factor. It's basically excellent in every area.
[T]he Xiaomi 14 Ultra frankly has to be right up at the very top of your list.
Absolutely one of my most favorite compact smartphones. It may be a bit of a mucky pup with that shiny design, but the absolutely smashing performance, the excellent battery life, the highly dependable camera, it ticks pretty much everything about this dinky wee blower.
