The Honor Magic V6 is a slim, powerful foldable that delivers class-leading battery life and a durable, IP68/IP69-rated build. Although it offers a refined experience with vibrant screens, the device is held back by a high price tag and software inconsistencies that detract from its flagship status.

What the Reviewers Say

All 31 expert reviews, weighted into the PixelMeter score.

  • PetaPixel 8.5/10

It’s a testament to just how slowly foldables evolve on the camera side that the Magic V6 is easily one of the best folding phones despite recycling the same camera hardware.

  • The Guardian

The Magic V6 is another very attractive book-style foldable from Honor, but it fails to move things on from last year in an increasingly competitive category.

The Honor Magic V6 is a slim, powerful, and impressively versatile foldable with excellent cameras and class-leading battery life, but its high price and MagicOS quirks stop it short of being an easy recommendation.

The Honor Magic V6 is an iterative improvement on its predecessor, delivering a more refined software experience and improved specs, alongside leading durability and battery life in the foldable category.

The tragedy of this device is that you can throw a rock and hit an issue with the UI design or software that you would expect to have been caught during the QA period. Some of these would be forgivable in a cheaper handset, but not in an ultra-premium flagship of this caliber.

  • Digital Trends 9/10

The Magic V6 does not reinvent the large foldable. In my opinion, what it pulls off handsomely is that it takes everything the category has been building toward and executes it at the highest level currently possible.

  • Android Police 7.5/10

The Honor Magic V6 is a great big-screen foldable which brings all the expected benefits of the style, but it lacks anything special to make it standout against the existing competition, and the big-name devices set to be released in the very near future.

  • PhoneArena 7.3/10

The Honor Magic V6 is one of the finest foldable phones ever created. If you’re looking for a cutting-edge foldable, this one is a great choice at launch, because Honor is usually very good at sweetening the deal with bundles and discounts.

The HONOR Magic V6 is the kind of foldable that makes you wonder why you’ve been settling for less. The displays are stunning, the thermals are class-leading, battery life is genuinely a two-day affair, and the software has finally grown up.

Honor Magic V6 arrives just in time to push the limits of the foldables with a tougher build, a stronger hinge, cutting-edge screens, top-notch performance, and the largest battery inside a foldable yet.

Whether or not you like the aesthetic of my red and gold review model, there's no denying that the Honor Magic V6 is a very impressive folding phone. It's slim and lightweight without compromise to performance – and the battery life on offer here is second to none.

Again, that's not surprising, and to be clear, you should still expect to be able to play demanding games on the phone without issue. But after some time playing those games, the phone will heat up a bit, and you won't be getting the same frame rates as you did when you started.

Not the biggest of issues, first world problems, but it's still here and it's one of the better foldable smartphones on the market today and hopefully it's not the wrong timing for Honor because we do have some exciting phones due to be released.

There's a lot to love about this phone. For one, it weighs around the same as the mainstream flagships (Luna White is 219g vs S26 Ultra 214g), and it's only 1.1 mm thicker (folded), and you get a big screen to view your media content on.

The hardware is great, the camera is great, the battery life is great, the performance is great. A lot of the software, like the multitasking stuff, is fantastic.

  • Pocket Gamer

The Honor Magic V6 excels in everything its predecessor builds upon, both with its hardware and its software. There's only the price tag to ponder here, but if that's not an issue for you, the V6 is the only top-tier choice.
