If I bought this camera and kit lens for $800 and went out to film what I did in the video above, I’d be returning it with that never-good feeling of “oh no, I made a terrible mistake.”
- DPReview 82/100
[T]he ZV-E10 has quite a bit to offer: good quality oversampled and uncropped 4K/24p capture, headphone and microphones ports, a selfie touchscreen, a high-quality onboard vlogging microphone, industry-leading video AF performance [...]
-
I just wish it didn’t suffer from that terrible rolling shutter.
-
I admire Sony’s try to add such a camera to a fast-growing business segment, yet the way it was done is not very clear to me. Giving a larger sensor and interchangeable lens option, but at the same time removing the EVF and internal ND filter is like dancing tango.
-
Based on price alone the ZV-E10 should prove a very popular camera. Its video credentials certainly surpass those of its chief rival at launch, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II – the go-to camera for most YouTubers.
- The Verge 7/10
For a vlogger looking to take the next step in image quality and creative control over what a phone can provide, the ZV-E10 is easy to use and beginner-friendly while providing easy ways to step up your game.
-
If I were a vlogger, or aspiring to be one, then the Sony ZV-E10 with its 16-50mm pancake lens would be a very serious contender.
-
The ZV-E10 combines the best elements of the APS-C sensor A6xxx series cameras with last year's ZV-1 compact camera to create a large-sensor, vlogger friendly camera that won't break the bank.
-
If you’re taking your first steps into serious vlogging or content creation, the ZV-E10 is perhaps the ideal gateway camera. It’s built to make capturing detailed, colour-rich and stable clips a cinch.
-
Best of all, against a backdrop of steadily climbing prices, it’s rather good value too.
-
Sony's ZV-E10 camera appeals to vloggers with a quality mic and support for swappable lenses, but is held back by a weak battery and a so-so touch interface.
-
Alternatives aside, if you want a compact mirrorless Sony camera with a flip-out screen for video, and can handle some wobbles in your panning clips, nothing else does what the ZV-E10 can for the price.
-
Sony’s ZV-E10 is a fun camera, and a vlogger’s dream with excellent features like 4K/30 video capture and crisp, colorful stills, right out of the box for under $800.
-
After testing, I have to say I’m highly impressed with the Sony ZV-E10. Given the choice between this and the ZV-1, I’d definitely go for the ZV-E10 due to the ability to change lenses.
- Creative Bloq 9/10
I'd happily suggest the Sony ZV-E10 to anyone who wants a camera that has both good photo and video compatibility that sits at a decent price point that feels well worth paying.
-
I think that for the price of $699, it makes more sense to get over the a6400 or a6100 or even the ZV-1.
-
Perhaps what is most remarkable with the Sony ZV-E10 is that it can cater to a wide range of users as a general camera.
-
The ZV-E10 is tiny little APS-C mirrorless camera optimized for video shooters, especially for YouTubers and other vloggers doing video selfies.
-
In a nutshell, the ZV-E10 to me is the evolution of the compact camera. And I think Sony has done a lot of great things with it.
-
I think it's a wonderful option for someone who wants a camera that has an emphasis on video and quick video at that. [...] Is it a good camera for someone who needs a quick but still high quality video solution?
-
The camera is so much fun to use and it's such a great value, and hopefully if you don't have one already you'll get a chance to pick yours up soon [...]
-
If you are entry level and you just want to get into storytelling and just dive in to the world of filmmaking or video creation then this is a great little camera to start out with.
-
Personally, this is not the camera for me.
-
Ultimately, I think the ZV-1 is a great all-in-one solution and the Sony ZV-E10 is a great option that you can grow into.
-
This camera is definitely worth its price tag and that it definitely serves me to what I bought it for. [...] This is one of the best beginner cameras that you can get in the market.
-
I've really tried to recommend this camera as the beginner camera if you're interested in the Sony ecosystem.
