Reviewer Consensus
Strong
The Sony RX10 V is a highly versatile bridge camera that combines an extensive 24-600mm zoom range with advanced autofocus and video capabilities in a single, portable package. While it offers significant improvements in ergonomics, battery life, and processing power, its smaller sensor and premium price point may limit its appeal for those prioritizing low-light performance or full-frame image quality.

- PetaPixel 6/10
Purely on the value side, the RX10 V’s proposition is attractive. But it feels stuck in the past, making it difficult to recommend for everyone.
-
If you're into bridge cameras, this is the most advanced bridge camera to date and you'll probably love the experience. At the same time, everything that I dislike about bridge cameras is still present here.
-
What you won’t find is a camera that offers the RX10 V’s combination of range, capability and size, for the same price.
-
But ultimately, if you want this kind of range from a new all-in-one camera with performance that can genuinely handle sports, wildlife, and action, there is currently nothing to rival the Sony RX10 V.
-
The Sony RX10V is a clear improvement over any bridge camera I’ve used in the past, managing to do a pretty good impression of a good mirrorless camera with an all-in-one lens attached most of the time.
-
At the end of the day, yes, it's still a super zoom, but it's not what I would call a casual super zoom.
-
At the end of the day, this camera is for people who can afford it for one and just want to reach out and take pictures.
-
I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that the Sony RX10 V is the best bridge camera ever made.
-
Add in the better viewfinder, improved ergonomics, handy joystick control and huge bump in battery life, and the RX10 V is a wonderfully polished all-in-one camera.
-
Borrowing features from its Alpha siblings, the RX10 V packs outstanding autofocus, 30fps blackout-free burst shooting for wildlife and sports, and a high-res EVF.
-
It has everything a functional camera should have in 2026 with very, very reasonable compromises in my humble Vong opinion.
-
[A]ll in all, it's just a very easy to use versatile camera that is going to give you a lot of capability if you're not even sure what you're going to be getting into for the day.
-
[T]he Sony RX10 V is officially Steve [Moore]-approved, and that is the highest honor it could possibly get.
-
One of the coolest things about the Sony RX10 V is just the do everything aspect of it and how much range you actually have. It's a extremely long-awaited camera for somebody like me.
-
Get one; I'm astounded at how this one amazing camera can replace an entire mirrorless system.
-
If you’re looking for the best hybrid bridge camera available, there’s no question it’s the Sony RX10 V.
-
This is a camera that offers exceptional reach, modern autofocus, and all-in-one convenience.
-
[A]fter spending a full week one-on-one with the Sony RX10 V, would I recommend it to bird photographers? Absolutely. Would I sell my big wildlife setup to replace everything with this? No.
-
[...] Sony has created probably the best travel camera that you can buy.
-
Now, in my opinion, it's also a bit expensive for who the consumer is in my mind.
