Strong

The Nikon Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S is a high-performing prime lens that delivers excellent center sharpness and fast, silent autofocus. That said, some users may find the corner resolution and pricing disappointing given its status as a professional-grade optic.

  • OpticalLimits 6/10

The Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S is a bit of a mixed bag regarding its resolution characteristic. At f/1.8 the broader center quality is perfectly fine but the outer image field is comparatively soft, especially in the corners.

The Nikon Z 24mm f/1.8 S is yet another superb lens release by Nikon. As you can see from this review, Nikon has done an amazing job with creating an advanced optical formula that outperforms all other 24mm prime lenses we have previously tested for the Nikon F mount.

This is the most modern and sharpest 24mm lens Nikon has ever made. Maybe not the sharpest of all 24mm lenses though as pixel peepers might find one or two possibly slightly sharper 24mm lenses for other camera brands.

Gorgeous results from a lens that is gorgeous to handle. Nikon really have cracked it with these Z series lenses. The quality is there and the price is still in the realm of being realistic. The handling is sublime.
