New LEE100 Tandem Adapter Lets You Use Two Filter Holders at Once

LEE filters has released a useful accessory for landscape photographers who want more versatility out of their filter system. The new LEE100 Tandem Adapter lets you stack two LEE100 filter holders on top of each other and rotate them independently, so you can really dial in your exposure in-camera.

Announced on Facebook a few days ago, the company is calling its LEE100 Tandem Adapter “a totally unique feature of the LEE system.”

It works simply enough. Just slot the adapter into the front slot of your first LEE100 holder, and you can attach another holder to the adapter. Importantly, the second holder can be rotated individually of the first, “allowing for more precise creative control of the exposure in complex lighting situations.”

This quick how-to video shows you exactly how it works:

And here’s a closer look at the adapter:

It’s important to note that this isn’t the first time LEE has released a Tandem adapter. Their first was released over 5 years ago, and can still be purchased for $35. With the release of this new version for the LEE100 system, we wouldn’t be surprised if this previous version disappeared.

The LEE100 Tandem Adapter is available today for $65. To learn more about the new accessory, head over to the LEE website by clicking here or pick one up for yourself from a LEE authorized retailer.
