Daughter Creatively Inserts Herself Into Her Mother’s Childhood Photos

Portland-based Art Director Danielle Delph says she often wonders if her mother and her would have been friends if they had grown up together. And while that question can’t be answered in a literal sense (yet… not giving up hope on a time-machine just yet), Delph put her impressive Photoshop skills to use answering it metaphorically.

The resulting photographs make up the series If I Had Known My Mother Back Then, which is made up of Delph’s mother’s childhood photos with Danielle expertly blended in so it looks like she always belonged there.

“Would we be in the same classes? Would we have the same sense of humor? Would people tell us we’re inseparable?” wonders Delph on her website. “After seeing myself in her childhood photos, I’m pretty sure we would have been great friends.”
