Viltrox AF 35mm f/1.4 Pro Z at a glance The AF 35mm f/1.4 Pro meets professional demands with fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus.
-
Outside of being a bit big and heavy, there really isn't anything wrong with the Viltrox Pro AF 35mm F1.4. It's another really really excellent 35mm F1.4 lens.
-
[C]onsidering its price, I can broadly recommend this lens.
-
The AF 35mm F1.4 Pro is a solid performer. While it doesn’t have a lot of interesting optical characteristics, it’s pretty sharp and clean. The look is very similar to the other two lenses in the series.
-
Therefore – even though this is a capable lens – I find it somewhat hard to recommend.
-
It’s simply a fabulous lens that lives up to its ‘Pro’ billing on all counts, apart from its bargain price tag.
-
After using this lens for the last couple of weeks, I can tell you it lives up to its pro label. It's a beautiful, solid lens, and as I mentioned, it now accompanies the Viltrox 50mm and 85mm F1.4 Pro lenses.
-
For me, there is no doubt that the Viltrox lens is a winner here. And I think that Viltrox can easily compete optically with the Sigma 35 f/1.4 Mark II, but for more than $200 cheaper.
-
Photographically, it's hard to argue against the idea of carrying just this one lens in your camera bag and it delivering the goods in most situations.
-
This is a great lens. The optics are fantastic. It doesn't matter what the price is. It really is that good.
