[...] I want to say the Sony Alpha 7R V is an excellent camera offering a massive amount of high quality megapixels in a nicely responsive package with a gorgeous large and high resolution viewfinder, the best articulating rear screen on the market.
So if you're looking for one lens to do it all, I'm very happy to recommend this Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD, and at 699 can say it represents a great value.
I really hesitate to fully recommend this camera. At this price point, there are a lot of really good options.
The Nikon D850 is the best and most versatile DSLR currently on the market.
Okay, so make sure you hear me now: I am NOT saying that this is a bad camera. I'm just gonna be recommending it far less than the original.
A quick summary of this camera's strengths: this is a fantastic all-around camera packed full of features in this nicely portable, rugged body with fantastic stabilization and good image quality, especially at the lower ISOs, and very nice video stabilization.
This camera is for most people the best hybrid photo and video camera under $1,000 you can buy. There really is nothing else on the market that is as feature pack and provides this level of image and video quality right now.
The bottom line on this camera: if you need a 4K capable, truly pocketable camera with excellent quality, this is an awesome option for you.

All right, so there are my thoughts on the Panasonic Lumix GH4, really a spectacular camera.
It's good for the money.
This is well-made, this magnesium alloy body, the dials are metal, they feel great and it's weather sealed.
Let's go back to that one line that I want to leave you with: if you are looking for the absolute best image quality at this price point, the Nikon D5300 right now really is it.
So I think the highlight feature of the Canon EOS 70D is this new Dual Pixel focus technology. Whenever marketers scream loudly, I say, "Well, really, is it that good?" It is that good.
If you don't need that, this is a perfect camera. Last thoughts, the video: I haven't shot a ton of video with it, but I have at different ISOs, very happy.
