- PetaPixel 6/10
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold feels like it’s barely stretching in comparison, and while Google may have the edge on software and AI, it sometimes comes off like it treats its foldable as ancillary to its broader product lineup.
- The Verge 8/10
A great foldable with IP68 and a reliable triple camera, trapped in a shape everyone else seems to be moving on from.
- WIRED 7/10
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a predictably iterative improvement over last year’s foldable, with slight upgrades to performance and the camera, but it comes with an unwelcome $100 price bump.
-
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a fairly minor hardware update for Google’s folding phone line, which makes it slightly lighter, smaller, brighter and faster, while keeping its overall look and feel the same.
- Android Authority 7/10
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is beautifully built, polished, and packed with clever software, but its $1,899 price is hard to justify. Rivals offer better cameras, performance, battery life, and displays, while the huge inner screen never quite becomes indispensable.
-
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is just left to barely keep up. It’s good enough to be respectable, but it’s also a hard sell to anyone who took issues with those prior flaws.
-
The Pixel packs features you can't find anywhere else, and a version of Android I'd be happy to recommend to anyone from the smartphone enthusiast to the smartphone inept.
-
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is beautifully made and packed with clever software, but modest upgrades, middling cameras and weaker performance make it increasingly difficult to justify against more ambitious foldable rivals.
-
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold leans into AI and camera strength rather than multitasking chops, and the result is a polished folding phone built for daily use.
-
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a generally excellent update, featuring a better, far lighter build and cleaner design elements that make the two-in-one device more appealing than ever.
-
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold brings neat AI features and a durable design that makes it more resilient, but its trailing Tensor G6 performance, negligible battery gains, and persistent app scaling quirks make it an underwhelming upgrade.
- Engadget 8.5/10
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a solid foldable phone, but I find that every time I pick it up, I often feel like I'd rather be holding one of its competitors.
- CNET 8.4/10
If you’re looking to buy your first foldable phone, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold makes a (literally) strong case for itself.
-
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is definitely a good phone, but in a year with rising prices, increased competition, and eroded trust after plenty of bad software updates, it's tough to recommend unless you really love a specific feature like Magic Capture or the new Creator Studio tools.
-
That being said, if you're a fan of tall-and-narrow folding phones and don't yet have a unit of your own, then the 11 Pro Fold is hard to resist.
-
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold may be worth buying if it’s your first foldable and durability tops your list of musts. The camera’s generous optical zoom is also worth considering, so long as you are not obsessed with high-resolution photography.
- How-To Geek 7/10
Google is putting out a phone from 2025, while other companies are completely reimagining what a foldable phone should be.
-
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has its charms. It looks lovely, has great software features, and there are meaningful improvements to the cameras.
-
I think it says a lot about how much Google has refined their foldables that the biggest controversy people can manage about the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is that the two sides have slightly different thickness.
-
The subtle changes are nice, but not enough to justify spending $1,900 on Google's latest foldable phone when better alternatives exist.
-
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is not the most exciting foldable you can buy.
-
Simply put, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a massive improvement over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, if only because it's a lot more comfortable to hold.
- MakeUseOf 8/10
The chip's baseline performance, paired with Google's incredible Android 17 optimizations, ensures the Pixel 11 Pro Fold handles daily smartphone and productivity tasks just fine.
-
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold remains, for me, the smartest phone available. Google continues to understand better than almost anyone how software, contextual intelligence and AI can remove friction from everyday smartphone use.
-
Day to day, the tradeoffs are real but manageable.
-
Those who care primarily about top-tier zoom cameras, all-day battery endurance, or sustained gaming will still find better value in a traditional flagship.
