Lume Cube’s New RGB Tube Lights Put High Quality Illumination in Your Hands

Lume Cube has announced a pair of tube LEDs that are designed to be the ultimate lighting tools for content creators and videographers on the move: a 12-inch, $170 Tube Light Mini and 48-inch, $400 Tube Light XL.

The team at Lume Cube have said “the right light changes everything” regarding most of its product line, and today it is releasing another light for creatives which they hope will be a game-changer.

“We are constantly inspired by our community of creators and innovators,” shares Lume Cube CEO and co-founder Riley Stricklin. “The Tube Light Mini and Tube Light XL are going to be a game-changer for so many. We are so excited to see what our community creates using these powerful lights.”

The two lights feature a premium weatherproof aluminum body design for maximum durability in tricky locations. The company says that each light is capable of outputting the full RGB spectrum of colors, with adjustable white balance color temperatures of 2700 Kelvin (K) to 7500K, as well as an adjustable green/magenta tint control along the entire spectrum giving users complete control over their lighting needs.

In addition to these features, the Tube Light Mini and Tube Light XL boast a 96+ CRI rating and have a built-in 56Wh power bank capable of charging other devices while on location.

According to Lume Cube, the Tube Light Mini performs at 100% brightness (920lux/lumen at 0.5m) for over one hour and forty minutes (over three hours at 50%), and the Tube Light XL performs at 100% brightness for over four and a half hours (almost five hours at 50%) when running off the internal battery. In addition to the RGB and White Balance range of lighting options, each of the new Tube Lights from Lume Cube comes with seven pre-programmed special effects and customizable frequencies. These include Loop, strobe, lightning, fire, candle, siren, and TV modes, each giving users greater creative control on set for the video or photo projects.

Each light ships with a travel case that includes custom aluminum tripods, a USB cable, and a screw-on wrist strap to help ensure photographers never drop them and which encourages creators to take the lights anywhere a project demands.

Along with the new portable lights, the 12-inch Tube Light Mini and the 48-inch Tube Light XL are launching alongside an new Lume Control app (available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play), which the company is designed to give control over the lights directly from a smartphone. Additionaly, thanks to a new “Photo Eyedropper Tool” on the Lume Control Bluetooth App, creators can match their lights to any color and any environment.
