Skylum Has Updated Luminar AI with a More Simplified Edit Flow

Skylum has just published an update to Luminar AI (version 1.0.1) that the company says delivers a “more refined version of Luminar” while also addressing a few bugs. The update is available now.

Luminar’s updates are framed mostly around workflow and ease of editing and range from new default functions to redesigned tools and interfaces.

Firstly, the app has been updated with a more “convenient” edit panel. It displays all the Edit tools in a single list and Essential, Creative, Portrait, and Pro tools are now color-coded for easy identification.

There is also a new import interface. Click the + icon in the toolbar and choose between adding a folder and adding a single image.

The EnhanceAI tool is now the first in the edit tools list and open by default, Template selection has been made simpler, and the Toning tool now has Shadows and Highlights buttons to match the design of other Luminar AI tools.

Skylum has also addressed a host of bugs for both the macOS and Windows versions, which can be viewed here.

The update is free to all owners of Luminar AI and can be updated by clicking on the Luminar top menu bar and selecting “Check for Updates” on macOS, and under Help followed by Check for Updates on Windows.

Skylum also recommends that if you’re running Luminar AI as a plugin for Photoshop or Lightroom that you rerun the plugin installer.
