Apple Just Made Final Cut Pro X Free to Use for 90 Days

Following in the footsteps of Adobe, Affinity and others, Apple has just made their professional-grade video editing program Final Cut Pro X free for 90 days, extending the usual 30-day free trial and even allowing current trial users to re-start their clock.

The move, inspired by the novel coronavirus pandemic and the new “stuck at home” reality that many of us are facing, is great news for anyone who has been wanting to give Apple’s video editor a proper go, but can’t afford the $300 price tag. Apple is also planning to roll out a 90-day free trial of Logic Pro X, its professional grade audio editor, but that one hasn’t gone live just yet.

To find out more about Final Cut Pro X or start your 90-day free trial, head over to the Apple website and click the “Free Trial” button in the top right corner of that webpage. If you’ve already started a 30-day free trial of Final Cut, Apple says you’ll need to go back to the website and download a new version to reset your clock and get the full 90 days.
