The Beauty of Science project bid farewell to 2016 in an appropriately beautiful way. Using old footage and outtakes from their previous experiments, they illustrated all four Earthly seasons in a gorgeous end-of-year video that’ll have you itching to break out that macro lens.
“As a new year approached, we assembled our team to craft an end-of-year video that would capture viewers’ imagination,” writes Beauty of Science founder Dr. Yan Liang. “We came up with an idea to use the perspective of a microscope/macro-lens to present the four seasons in our human world.”
From obvious shots like snowflakes melting to stunning chemical reactions that look like the soft-breaking waves of summer and the orange leaves of autumn, Liang and his team really outdid themselves.
