Recently for iOS Turns Your Camera Roll Into a Print Magazine Every Month

Snapping a collection of photos on your iPhone and then having them disappear into your Camera Roll never to be seen again can be quite a common occurrence, but a new iOS app on the market wants to change that. ‘Recently’ is a mobile application for iPhones and iPads that allows you to automatically send your 100 most recent photographs off to be printed in a personal monthly magazine and delivered straight to your door.

Just launch the application and Recently will present you with your 100 most recent photographs. You can drag the images around to set up the layout exactly how you want or delete photos that you don’t wish to make the final cut. Once you are done arranging your magazine, just tap the ‘Upload’ button to have your images sent off for print.

Aside from arranging your photographs, personalization is quite limited. You can opt for a magazine containing either 100 half page images or 50 full page images. Beyond that, there is nothing more for you to control, as ‘Recently’ is focusing on the idea of “One app. One tap. One magazine.” Here, simplicity is king.

If you are interested in trying ‘Recently’, the service costs $8.99 per month. If you invite a friend, then the price drops to $7.99. Just make sure that you keep taking lots of fresh photographs each month so that your magazines don’t begin to feel repetitive.
