An Impressive Test of Adobe’s New Dehaze Slider

Want to see an impressive example of what the new Dehaze slider in Photoshop and Lightroom can do? Check out the 1-minute video above by photographer Grant Friedman, who tested out the feature using a foggy and blown out RAW photo of Times Square on a rainy day.

The photo would have been largely unusable, and Photoshop’s older tools couldn’t do much to salvage the shot, but Friedman found that Dehaze managed to cut right through the fog and reveal the details of the scene. Here’s a before-and-after crop of the shot:
