Although details are still scarce, New York City fire officials say six people suffered minor burns when a piece of unknown camera equipment caught fire on the observation deck of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

The fire is said to have started just after 7:30pm Sunday night, according to a fire department spokesman. The fire was responded to and under control by approximately 8:00pm and the injuries suffered were said to be from embers falling onto the victims.

No word yet on what exactly caused the fire. We’ll continue to update the story as more details come out.
